880 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago
Empty nesters purchased four connected units on the top floor of this iconic high-rise, designed by Mies van der Rohe, in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. They wanted to renovate and personalize the spaces into one large apartment. We restored existing original building components, reconfigured and refinished the interiors to suit the owners’ tastes and lifestyle, and updated the mechanical system to provide comfortable heating and cooling. This project was featured in numerous magazines including International Architecture & Design, Winter 2012 and Preservation, May/June 2011
